The Creative Expression
When Paisley reached out to me about her ideas for her Columbia, South Carolina band promos, I was all in. As a band photographer, I feel as if I have more room to be creative and give my images the more vintage vibe you'd see with old film photography. Though film photography is one of my passions, when you need to take several photos and have them delivered in a quick turnaround time, editing your images to look vintage is still a vibe. And that was right up Paisley and the Birdwalker's alley. These queens looked amazing in these warm and grainy tones! I especially loved that they gave me full creative freedom for this project.

The Location
Most of the time, bands in South Carolina reach out to me through my instagram and we decide on a location that feels edgy and speaks to the band's presence. The location we chose for Paisley and the Birdwalkers happened to be a private home in Columbia, South Carolina that matched the aesthetic and vibe that these birds were going for. Something I absolutely love about being a Columbia, South Carolina band photographer is seeing all the different creative spaces bands choose to represent their band promos.
Insider info, often time I'm asked if I know of a great location to match what a band is going for. Sometimes the answer can be as simple as driving around until we see something that stands out! I think that the specific locations in these band promos in South Carolina really matched the feel and southern rock energy that Paisley and her band were feeling was best for their album release!

I really loved the energy that Paisley and the Birdwalkers bring to our sessions and to live gigs. They are truly a talented group of women in South Carolina. You can find them playing originals that come straight from the heart as well as covers all around major cities in South Carolina.
